FIREWOOD FAMILY FOR VULNERABLE CITIZENS OF PALILULA ROMA AND THIRD AGE POPULATION

Supporting vulnerable people of Palilula with firewood donation Palilula continued with donations of firewood to families in villages Lalinac and Krušce. With Milos Stojkovic, a member of the Council of Palilula visiting Roma households actively participated and Dragan Osmanovic Coordinator for Roma issues of the municipality.This humane mission began with visiting household and forty one-year old Alija Amzic, who lives with his family at `Sime Matavulja` street, near old `Vulkan`. He had three strokes and therefore can not speak, poorly mobile and cannot use his right hand. He was engaged in collecting recyclable materials and now it seems his wife Namzija and two sons Stenad,17 and Rade, 19 years work old in order to provide money for very expensive medicaments Ali uses in therapy. Ali and Namzija have two daughters who are married. They have no income.

Firewood also arrived to the household of Dragan Milenkovic, 44 in Ledena Stena. He lives with his wife Lidija 38 years old and two sons, Nemanja is 15 and Nikola 11. Nemanja from the age of two suffer from diabetes. No one works in the family. They have no income. Unpaid electricity bills and other expenses are treat to this household.

Spomenka Peric, from the village Lalinac. She lives alone, recently was blinded. 75 years old and has no income. Her husband died long ago.

Stana Jovančić from the village Lalinac. 66 years old. Lives with her son Jovica. His husband died 15 years ago and left unfinished house. Jovica is divorced, has two daughters living with her mother, and does not work. There is no money for child support. He is sick and has psychosomatic symptoms. This household has no income.

President of the Citizens Council of village Krušce Tomislav Stojanovic and member of the Municipal Council Milos Stojkovic visited the family Boban Mezirović. He lives in Krušce and is 44 years old. He lives in one room with three children and his wife Sonja 40 years old. Children go to primary school. The youngest child goes to kindergarten in the village. Household has no other income. Boban is engaged in seasonal jobs to feed his family.

In Krušce, the delegation visited also Zlatomir Stojanovic. He lives alone and is 59 years old.He worked as a driver in "Srbijatrans". After the privatization and liquidation of companies he has not found a new job. There is no income. Periodically works physically to earn money.

The action - free firewood for 50 families not taken into account in other types of social assistance, Palilula continues this week. Everyone, every household, from the list of socially vulnerable population was delivered per 3 meters of firewood. The value of this help is about 700,000 dinars. This is only a part of activities to support the most vulnerable category of population Palilula to improve the quality of life of socially vulnerable groups.
